WOMEN’S HEALTH
WHAT IS PELVIC FLOOR PT?
Pelvic floor physical therapy is specialized care for the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues that support your bladder, bowel, core, pelvis, and reproductive organs. These muscles work hard every single day—through pregnancy, birth, exercise, and simply being a woman.
Through a combination of hands-on techniques, exercise, education, and personalized strategies, pelvic floor PT addresses issues such as leaking, pain, pelvic heaviness, and changes that occur during pregnancy and postpartum. It’s a gentle, personalized way to understand your body better and feel more in control.

For The Moms
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for Pregnancy, Birth Preparation, & Postpartum Recovery
Pregnancy and postpartum bring remarkable changes, and your body works incredibly hard through each stage. Pelvic floor physical therapy provides individualized support to help you stay comfortable, confident, and strong—whether you’re preparing for birth or healing afterward.
HOW PHYSICAL THERAPY CAN HELP ALL STAGES OF MOTHERHOOD
Prenatal Care
Pelvic floor PT during pregnancy focuses on reducing pain, improving stability, and supporting your changing body so you can stay active and comfortable.
Treatment may include exercises, breathing strategies, mobility work, and education tailored to your goals and the way you move.
Together, we build tools that help you feel supported throughout your pregnancy.
Birth Preparation
Birth prep sessions are designed to help you feel informed and empowered going into labor.
We cover how the pelvic floor functions during labor and pushing, explore helpful birth positions, practice breath coordination, review perineal relaxation and stretching techniques, and build strategies that support both comfort and confidence during delivery.
Postpartum Rehab
The postpartum period is a powerful transition, and recovery deserves both patience and guidance.
Pelvic floor PT helps restore pelvic floor and core function, improve mobility after delivery, and address common postpartum symptoms such as leaking, pressure, pain, or diastasis
Whether you’re six weeks postpartum or several years out, healing and rebuilding strength are always possible.
“Alanna was so knowledgeable and personal. She was able to make me feel comfortable and her treatment was clear and effective! I used to think leaking postpartum was normal until Alanna helped me strengthen my pelvic floor and core and the issue completely went away! Could not recommend more!”
